DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING A WRITTEN APPLICATION: April 23, 2022
During this intensive workshop, 10 participants will master the basics of documentary filmmaking and take the first steps towards becoming independent filmmakers. After getting acquainted with the technical aspects of filmmaking, analyzing reference film achievements, finding locations and writing screenplays, each participant will start shooting their own short documentary on the same topic. Editing (with the assistance of professional editors) will provide insight into the important relationship that exists between authors and editors.
CANDIDATES
Everyone who wants to gain initial experience in making documentaries and everything that that entails. Anyone who wants to renew or reconsider their work and approach to filming documentaries.
Knowledge of filmmaking techniques is not necessary
Working languages of the workshop: English, French and local. Knowledge of English is required.
Age range: 18 to 35
Citizens of the following countries: Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia, Croatia, Albania, Hungary, Romania

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Candidates are selected in two phases.
1 / The first phase is the submission of a written application which includes:

All material is sent to the e-mail address varan@domomladine.org with complete contact details. It is not a dissertation that is required, but a text that you address directly to us. We do not want cover letters.
All material must be in English.
2 / Candidates who pass to the second phase will be scheduled for an interview before the final admission. The conversation will be conducted either in person in Belgrade, or by phone, or via the Zoom application.
